"Is it ME or My Hormones?", published
at the end of 2003, uses womens own stories to explain
what happens at the menopausal transition.
In fact, women are in transition at many times of their
lives, starting with puberty, then with pregnancy or the
lack of fertility; so this book covers hormone changes from
age 35 to 55 and explains what symptoms are related to hormones
and what have other causes.
Patricia Michalka writes with humour and compassion about
the emotional swings and roundabouts that women experience
in midlife.
Margaret Smith, a gynaecologist, deals with the hormonal
changes.
